Welcome!

My name is Kristi Coombs.

I’ve been interested in health and wellness for many, many years. My interest was fairly casual until the early 1990s, when a back problem gave me the incentive to begin a more in-depth study of health, healing, and physical fitness. Nearly 10 years later, a dramatic increase in symptoms launched me into an intense exploration of healing. Since then, I have sampled over 35 different healing and therapeutic modalities, from traditional Western methods to highly obscure and esoteric practices.

I’m also what I would call a “sensitive foodie” and have been since I was a kid. Currently, I avoid gluten, most dairy products, most soy, alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, and various other food items. (Okay, truthfully, I’m trying to get over the chocolate thing. Life without chocolate is just too sad.)

The questions “How does healing happen?” and “What does it take to be healthy?” drive my continued investigation into all aspects of health and wellbeing.

Here on Bread and Apples, I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned over the years and offering you the benefits of my experience.

A little of this, a little of that, and hopefully you’ll like what you bite into.

So much great info, great variety of subjects, and presented clearly and attractively! I know quite a few folks who will love this blog, too.
